The drive was very long. It took us about 19 hours to get there. I think we made at least 1001 potty breaks. No kidding. Who knew kids could pee so much! Even after you take their drinks away. Haha!
We stopped at this neat mill. Right now it is a cute little shop but the owner is hoping to get the whole thing up and running over the next couple of years. We learned a lot about the history of the area.
We bought some cornbread mix. Everyone is excited to taste it!
This place was fun too. If it had been in Ohio there would have been high fences all around. The kids thought it was pretty cool. Mommy was a bit nervous. Mostly because I have a few children who are fearless.
This picture shows no justice. That water was coming out of there was with major force!
"Did you really see a snake"
Bobo enjoyed the trip as well!
We did hit some bad weather along the way. Luckily, we were already in our hotel room. Tornados hit Oklahoma with NO warning. Did not like that!
We enjoyed a lot of nature while we were gone. When we left our trees barely had leaves. The farther west we went the more beautiful it became!
This old schoolhouse was too cute for words! I told Brian that I need one!
This little one stole my heart! How cute is he???
Our plan was to stay in a hotel for 4 nights and make most of our food. We ended staying 6 nights and ate out way more than planned. LOL! Doesnt it always work out like that?
We made a lot of memories and that was worth it. We visited our first ever Sonic! We traveled down a red dirt road. We hiked. We laughed. We debated on stealing a cow. We ran from storms. We crossed 13 covered bridges. Brian got me a rock from every state and every bridge. We covered our van in dirt and sand. We visited every rest stop from Ohio to Oklahoma. It will be a trip we will never forget. :o)

We took the kids on our first fishing trip of the year.
The weather was perfect!
He made a quick ramp out of leaves. LOL!
The kids were really excited when we found a four leaf clover!
Brian took a few pictures when I was being silly.
We didn't catch anything (because we did not use night crawlers, Brian Gene) but it was a great day. Just sitting by the water was so relaxing. I really enjoying fishing and spending the time outside. This winter seemed so long. The fresh country air was just what I needed!
I thought about what it will be like someday when I do not have all these little ones running around, getting their lines snagged in the tree and needing me every few moments. It makes me sad but it also reminds me to cherish all of these moments.
