DIY marshmallow shooter

Who knew these little DIY marshmallow shooters would be such a hit!?

They took us about a half hour to make and came out to be around $1.50 a piece.

What you need:
10ft 1/2" schedule 40 PVC pipe (We bought 2 of them to make 4 guns and there was some left over)
2 - 1/2" PVC T's (smooth)
2 - 1/2" PVC elbows (smooth)
2- 1/2" caps
Some kind of saw to cut the pieces
Sandpaper

That's it!

First measure your pieces.

You will need 7 pieces total.
4 - 3" pieces
2 - 5" pieces
1 - 7" piece

Then cut them to size.

Use sand paper to smooth the edges.

Kind of tedious but it only took a few minutes. The kids were just anxious to give them a try so they worked pretty hard.

Assemble.

ENJOY!

Or open you mouth wide to try and catch flying marshmallows.

Or duck to avoid flying marshmallows.

The guns got taken apart and reassembled in a hundred different ways. Even the left over pieces got used as "long guns". We went through 2 bags of mini marshmallows.

A few things to remember......the guns work much better if you only load them with 1 or 2 marshmallows at a time. Marshmallows shoot better once they are a bit stale. Be prepared to find marshmallows everywhere. Including but not limited to your bed, the washing machine and in your shoes.

Our son got to build one in his Builders Class at Co-op. He LOVED making it and still uses it.
