On a Few Things This Morning

I am doing a new blog challenge. I know, as if I don't have enough to do in one day. Right?! Well this is another blog every day kind of thing. This time there is not a checklist of topic but there is a Facebook group. It might prove to be a tab difficult. What could I possibly post about every single day. No idea but I am up for the challenge. You can check it out here if you are interested in joining. It is for the month of July.

So I have this online friend, Sarah. She is really like the most adorable pregnant woman I have ever seen and a friend of hers is throwing her a virtual TWIN baby shower. I have never heard of such a thing but it is true and loads of fun. There are even some giveaways going on! So you might want to jump on over and check it out. So cool.

Last but not least....I am going to start a new project. It is going to be a mix of Project 365 and capturing the beauty of the every day. Am I getting myself in over my head? Maybe, but that is okay. I work well under pressure!

In an attempt to get my camera out EVERY day, practice my photography, blog more and capture beauty...my new little project was born. I don't have a button for it or even a name yet but I'm kind of excited. Even if I have to fly solo, that's okay. If you want to join in just let me know in the comments. I am thinking of starting August 1st. That will give me time to get my act together. You know, I am sure my husband would like to have clean socks before I start ANOTHER project. Maybe I could buy him some sandals. ;)

Anyway, the project would be to take a picture a day for one year. You can use any camera including a phone. There will be no requirements other than capturing beauty. There will be no theme so you can just shoot away. As long as it is family friendly. I am in no way a professional so don't really look for any photography advice just pictures. EVERY day for ONE year. Can I do it? I'm sure going to try and I would love for you to join me!

(And because I have this little OCD problem with NOT including at least one picture into a blog post, here it is.)

My daughter had twins 8 years ago... When it came time for her baby shower, she was in the hospital with preterm labor. We changed the shower to a drive-by shower! The ladies loved it since we are all so busy - LOL! Then we helped her unwrap her gifts in the hospital. Love the online baby shower idea!

Thanks for sharing Miranda! You've given me a remember that I need to step out of urban living, and spend more time basking in the beauty all around me. God has given us much to enjoy!
