If I Were President of the United States ~ A Teen Link Up

This weeks question is "What if I were President of the United States of America"?
Middle and High School Linkup for Students and Moms!

To be honest I wouldn't really like to be president. It would be really stressful and a lot of work. I would be afraid that I would make commitments that I wouldn't be able to fulfill (and I totally don't do that now, but if I were president I might). And most of all I wouldn't have much time with my family.

But lets say I were president. I would outlaw a lot of things. Okay, that sounds more like a dictator, but if the president could just outlaw things I would outlaw a lot of stuff.

First, and foremost, I would outlaw abortion and birth control. It is wrong, plain and simple.

Second, I would outlaw getting drunk. Or maybe I would outlaw beer all together. I actually decided that when I turn 21 I won't even try wine. In my entire life I plan on not touching any kind of beer or wine.

Third, I would outlaw all of the chemicals and stuff that they put into our food. If you notice, people in other countries don't die from cancer nearly as much as they do in the States. I think that cancer and heart attacks are simply caused from all of the chemicals and pollution we allow into our food and air.

Fourth, I would outlaw smoking and chewing tobacco. It is horrible for you. It causes cancer too. So it kinda goes with number three. And I have seen pictures of what happens after you chew tobacco for a long time. It gross!

Fifth, I would up the punishment for crimes. Criminals are getting lighter and lighter sentences. Soon it will go unnoticed. Crime rates are going up and it's scary. Criminals need more than a slap on the wrists.

Now I could go on and on and on. I could probably come up with a hundred more things to outlaw in an hour but I think you would get bored. And that would be a really long blog post. I hope you enjoyed!

I know that you can't make laws and control people to make the world perfect. But it would be nice if we outlawed the things on my list.

Random 5 on Friday ~ January 31st

Can you believe it is the last day of January already! Time flies when you are having fun.

I hope everyone had a great week! Are we ready for more randomness? Here we go...

The Pebble Pond

1. Yesterday we ate out for lunch AND dinner. Ouch.

2. I already filed our taxes! I was on it this year. Now to wait for the money and then...then...we can start really looking at houses! Eek! I'm a little bit excited.

3. All of my children are almost as tall as me. Something NEEDS to be done about this. (Psst..honey, a baby is very much needed. Like ASAP!)

4. Do you watch Downton Abbey? I am in love. Seriously. I hate TV. We watch family movies sometimes but I hate to just sit in front of the TV but Downton Abbey.....its just different. I watch it through Google Play on my phone. Well I ended up buying the whole season because it was cheaper. It usually shows up on Google Play on Monday. So that would be the day after it actually airs on TV. WELL...on Monday they sent me the rest of the season! Say what!?

It was such a dilemma. Do I watch it all or just an episode a week? I may have lost sleep over this decision. Needless to say, I now have to wait a YEAR to watch season 5. Have mercy.

5. In my attempt to save money, I may have turned into a crazy person. I think I searched for a coupon for just about everything on my grocery list. For the record, you can NEVER find a coupon for Estee Lauder Hydrationist. Which is the only lotion I wear on my face. Ugh. I did find coupons, price matches and free stuff for just about everything else! Cha-Ching!

Have a great weekend!

Do you have some randomness that you would like to share? I would love for you to join in!

Here are the rules. They are simple.

A Winter Photo Run

I went for a little photo run this evening. The temps were in the negatives most of the day. Although it does get cold around here it does not usually get THAT cold. So I wanted to get some pictures while I could.

Brian is such a good sport. He worked ALL day, froze his butt off and then came with me. I love him.

Snow Day!

Church was canceled on Sunday morning. The roads were pretty yucky and snow came down most of the day. Brian and I decided to go for a hike up into the woods. Just the TWO of us!

Brian brought the sleds along for us to go back down the hill on! What a blast! I don't think I have laughed that hard in a long time.

Yes, I realize my gloves do not match. I had to take my outside gloves off to take pictures, of course!

When we got home, we warmed up with some hot chocolate.

Brian and I do not get much time alone so this time was really special.

Then we took the kids outside!

It was a good day.
