about

Hello there! My name is Miranda.
I have been married to adorable man for 15 years and we have been blessed with 4 kids.

Here are some quick facts that will help you get to know me a little bit better.

~ The desire for my life is to die to self and live for the Lord.

~ My husband and I married very young. I was 17 and he was 20. I love him more today than the day I walked down the aisle. It has not always been an easy road and according to statistics we should have been divorced a lot time ago. Good thing our God is bigger than statistics, huh?!

~ Our first daughter, Taylor was born at 31 weeks. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was 3 days old.

~ Alyssa was born exactly 20 months later.

~ 3 years later we found out we were have twins! Hello, Carter and Morgan.

~ We hope to be blessed with more little ones in the very near future. Right after Carter and Morgan were born Brian got the big snip, snip. We regretted it instantly. Like as we were walking out of the office. We waited almost 10 years before he got a reversal. Now we wait. And pray. A lot.

~ We are a homeschooling family.

~ Yes, most people think we are crazy. It's ok. I think we are crazy.

~ My husband has my name tattooed on his forearm. He tells people that its an expression of his love for me but I know better, he just doesn't want to forget my name. ;) He has a lot of people ask him why he would get my name instead of our kids because you know "that lasts forever" and his look and words always melt my heart. In his mind this marriage will last just as long as our kids being our kids. Love that man.

~ I struggle with faith, at times.

~ I think too much.

~ I worry way too often.

~ I have more regrets than I wish to admit.

~ I love to bake and cook. Big meals and a lot of desserts are my favorite.

~ I love anything outdoors. Fishing, Hiking, Camping.

~ I love to garden and hope to some day grow enough to sustain us through the winter. I can dream, can't I?

~ I am obsessed with taking pictures.

~ I am teaching myself to be more self sufficient and loving every minute of it. I love to make and can salsa, hot pepper mustard, jam and applesauce. I can other stuff too but those are my favorites. :)

~ In my younger days, I could never have imagined living in the country. Now the desire of my heart is to live on a farm.

Want to see the rest of my crew?

This is Taylor. She just turned 15. She is a delight and a joy! She can bring a smile to anyone. She is a fighter and has over come many obstacles.

Alyssa is 13. She is a lover of books and conversation. It is fun watching her grow up and become a young lady. She loves to help around the house and I admire her for ability to take on so much.

Morgan is 11 and loves animals. Any animals but especially cats and horses. She is a tom boy when she wants to be but loves to wear dresses that twirl when she spins. She has a good heart and feels deeply. She looks and acts like me.

Carter is 11. He is great at taking care of his sisters and he is always the first to jump when some one needs help. He is all boy so that usually means he comes in the house with banged up knees or fingers and smells of dirt.

If you see me out and about you will know its me because our crew can be spotted a mile away. We kind of look like a circus act.

Can you picture it? Taylor in her wheelchair...wanting to be independent and knocking over coffee stacked a mile high with her service dog, Bobo trying to pick up the coffee and putting on to her lap....Alyssa red faced, Carter trying to help by picking up the coffee, Morgan pretending she does not know us and me taking pictures of the whole scene. Yep, that's us and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks so much for visiting!
I would love to get to know you so stick around and we can be friends. :)
